good, because you're annoying little turd..... so under your line of thinking if I ride my Rocky Flatline on the local xc trails, it's an XC bike? brilliant.

I too like the looks of last year's low slung design better, but I'm much more satisfied with the weight of this year's model. still a win in my books for Rocky.

not that I'm doubting the welds are of poor structural quality, but having a pro weld it up will reduce some of the stress of the unregularities in the bead.... very interested to see how this one, and a pro welded one hold up. if they keep together pretty well, put me on the list for the first run.

always impressed by your work, another beautiful frame. only criticism I could give you is to get that welding down a bit better and you'd be ready for production runs.

haha, i have 3 years in the industry, and 2 years of schooling.... bike mechanic by trade, but welding is a true passion.

the tubing needs to be purged creating a vacuum inside and then have pure argon(99.999% pure, like 10 parts per million for best results) flowing to keep contaminates out of the backside of the weld, and shielding gas must be kept flowing on the weld until it cools to somewhere around 500F.... actually, other than the set up, Ti is easier to weld than aluminum, it's a lot more like stainless steel than aluminum, just the setup and preparation take a bit more effort.

when I was in school, Ti was something all of us were a afraid of touching, but after repairing a few Ti frames it quickly became my favorite metal to weld.

anyway, very nice job on the frame.... I can't imagine the total cost of that bike, very pretty.

ahhh, yes there is the odd zone... maybe everything in that zone is just a tweak of some sort?

I love the picture, just thought it was labeled incorrectly, after going back through some of my pictures, I can see how that angle does throw things off a bit.

even though the second photo is labeled incorrectly as a turndown, you should be able to see the difference.

turndowns are supposed to up and down, not sideways.

I've been wanting to make a trip back out to the jumps in silverthorne, any word on those? lake arbor was pretty trashed last time I was there, even after trying to patch things up. boulder is always pretty fun though
